My 11-yr-old son and I have been curious and interested in hammock camping for a while now. He enjoyed a few nights this past summer sleeping in his friend's hammock at Boy Scout summer camp, so I jumped on the HH holiday deal and picked up one for me and the free Cub one for him.
Until this weekend we've only set them up in the front yard to mess with, but we were finally able to take them out on the Ouachita Trail last night. It was fun, but cold (got some work to do on bottom insulation). Even though we froze our buns off, son was not discouraged so I think he has a true passion for this.
I've barely had time to research all of the vast amount info found here, but grateful this community exists to help me get up to speed.
