Well there isn't one. We just tag everything with "home" so when you search you have better results.
Look up before you hook up!!

    Are you in business?

For me personally, my bikepacking list is almost identical to my backpacking list, the exception being the bike related tools and spares.

That's my take on things, anyway.

Also, if you haven't already, join the Bikepacking.net forums. Membership seems to be increasing over there and I've seen a few Hammock Forum members there.

Nice looking rig! Think you could make me a seat bag like that? Seriously. Let me know.

Ahh, I misunderstood, thanks for the clarification.

    Complete camping rig?

To JerryW - is that your complete camping rig?

If so, you have the volume (sp?) problem completely licked!

My problem with hammock camping is the volumn (sp?) of the top quilt and bottom quilts. Where do you store them?

    Thanks for posting your pics.

    Happy Trails.

I came to the forums from a biking background, though mine is more bike (read: "alternative car") camping than actual bikepacking.

Still, it would be nice to have a spot for it.

I appreciate the thought, but I've always tried to keep my DIY obsession a hobby rather than a business. There's a couple of great guys already making bikepacking bags.

That's all of it. My complete shelter fits in the front dry bag - tarp, hammock, underquilt, topquilt. Clothes, rain jacket and misc in the rear dry bag. Food, cooking, pump, flat repair in the frame bag.

My backpacking base weight is down to around 9-10 pounds. The only additions for bikepacking are some bike specific clothing, pump, multi-tool and flat repair.

Planning on the Katy Trail...look for an invitation soon for that multiday/246 mile ride soon. In the vid you'll see several set ups for bikecamping, I too am on a Fargo:

I'll be watching for that. I was planning to do the Katy Trail this Spring as a warmup for a portion of the Great Divide Route in June or July.

Jerry we're planning on 50ishmiles/day, so time left for the river, Lewis&Clarke, wineries/breweries etc. Hanging when we can B/B when we cant.
