Got my Custom TQ yesterday.. On time, to my design specs, light and comfy.
Test Hang last night. Fits me like a glove........
Turtles loss is your gain.
i have to say a few things about my quilts, since i havent had the chance to get out and set them up as im supposed to yet, but today i looked them over and **** im impressed! not only is the craftsmanship insane and downright perfect for me, theres so much "quilt technology" in these 2 thats its nuts.
sewn loops on the inside of the UQ to hook it to the side of your hammock, one set of those loops so you can remember which end you want for the head/foot end, not to mention mitten clips to hook to your suspension. on the TQ theres snaps, a "T" loop so you dont stress the snaps and a bungee to cinch it, and one snap at the head end with bungee if you need to make it a collar around your head!!!
i got mine with plenty of room inside it. laid on the couch and almost was late to work!!!
thanks Paul, and youll be getting pics soon for the contest, not to mention a full review on here.
Glad everyone got their order last week, next batch is hitting post office tomorrow. I also am in the process of moving today and tomorrow so will have limited time/access to reply to emails and PMs.
I'll be back at it full bore on Tuesday... Thanks...
I am so envious! My UQ has been ordered (B-day present to self), and I am so patiently checking my emails on the quarter-hour to see if production has begun.
The process of choosing which UQ to order was a long and difficult one. So many quality producers to choose from.
Thanks to all who have posted/shared here; I shall continue to live vicariously through your posts until that fateful day arrives.....and then I shall join the downy goodness club and be the envy of all of Tejas!!!!
ok, so heres some first use pics!!!
The hammock is an Olive ENO DN, with a nice suspension on it. looks brown in the pics but its olive.
Detailed view of the corner stitching and some of the "Quilt Technology" Paul puts into these beautiful pieces.
On one end, in the inside, he sews a pair of white loops (one per side) so you can differentiate between head/foot if you have it set as such.
Me inside the TQ as well, it was close to 85* today so I didnt stay in there long. Im 6ft tall and this thing can go over my head if i do it right. You can see the green interior of the TQ (matching the UQ) Also, the UQ is about 6ft long too.
Great quilts Rev! Paul makes some really sweet looking gear. Dig the green on black!
my original plan was to do an all black setup, but the green is just awesome and sets it off just right. love it.
