Propane stove super cheap $8.76 shipped.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Outdoor-Prop...item1c220b088f

I bought one a couple weeks ago for $14.40 free shipping. $7.98 + .78 is absurdly cheap for something that works well.

No affiliation with seller or perks from Amazon. Just helping those that might want a gas stove for less than $10!

Interesting animal. Does it fit on top of a regular "coleman" type propane screw on cylinder?

Looks like a lindal valve like on pocket rocket etc... So my guess it isn't for your steel pounder propane cans, but the backpacking canisters which are usually mixtures of isobutane/propane.

I like how Amazon has it displayed upside down. My hunch is the folks in marketing don't get out much.

I saw several stoves on eBay that look exactly like this one. They are a pocket rocket knock off and made in China. The reviews of the pocket rocket were mixed, with some praising the light weight and the downside being the intense heat applied to a focal point causing a hot spot in the center. A knock off of the original that got mixed reviews compounded by the uncertainty of the materials used were enogh to steer me away from it, but hey we all have our preferences.
Happy Trails to one and all.

I've never had a gas stove like this and wondered about fitting cylinders. It fits all the ones REI had shown, I bought an MSR Isopro as they said it was slightly better in colder weather.

It does shoot straight up pretty much at full blast, but widens with a bit of throttling down. I watched the pan and it does focus heat in a spot, but with water who cares? No matter how bad I cook I still do NOT burn water!

If you don't like it, at this price it's a give-away or spare maybe for your survival bugout bag. I've got a 2" diameter 1/16" aluminum disk I'll try as a heat dispersal plate, might allow me to cook more evenly.

I'f you're in the Twin Cities and your back side has thawed, I can meet up with you and let you give it a spin. I might grill you on insulation options however.

hmmm, I have been playing with a new Primus ETAexpress and it shoots a focused beam of flame straight up---which on the express pots radiates out and into the heat diffuser.
