    Smile A New Start

Hey, no one knows me yet, so if you see some crazy handing out 20 dollar bills to everyone he sees, it won't be me. Nope, not me, I just spent my inheritance on a Clark NX-250 / Vertex fly. I am totally open to suggestions as how to best enjoy this thing, so pile on. I only joined this Forum a few days ago, but I spent the last four weeks reading and trying to digest TONS of hammocking information. This community has an unbelievable amount of talent and knowledge, and I feel blessed to be a part of it. Happy hanging, ya'll.

Welcome. Second the motion on Whoopies. Easy to make or cheap to buy, and I like it better than the stock ropes.

Welcome! I don't have a Clark, but love my whoopies. Well, I don't love 'em quite as much as I did since they don't have Dutchware Whoopie Hooks!

Congrats, and welcome to the 250 club!

I, too, recommend swapping out the stock suspension. I personally don't care for Whoopies, so I suggest a ring buckle suspension (rings and straps)...but, really, it's all personal preference.

I've never warmed up to the built in stuff sack, either. I prefer either hammock tubes, a Bishop bag or a double-ended stuff sack for packed storage of the hammock. The poles are a pain-in-the-you-know-what...search the Clark section here on the forums for ideas pertaining to those. I modified mine to make them shorter/easier to pack and less likely to lose. One of these days I'll get some pics of them and post 'em up.
Yesterday's tomorrow is tomorrow's yesterday. It's the only day that counts.
