Made my first DIY rigdeline organizer
Found out that sewing is much easier than expected
I was inspired by some pictures I found here on HF

very nice. I dig the color. Have you come across a peak bag yet? There's a good step by step out there, i just can't remember where.

It's effectively a small, triangular storage sack that hanks from the "peak", or the head end of your hammock, on the inside. It lets you throw gear in it. Most people seem to find them useful for stocking caps or pillows...basically things you want to grab quickly when your head gets cold at night.

That's some pretty darn good thread injection you did for your first time! I started into DIY about 6 weeks ago, and started with wrist warmers and a ridgeline organizer. The wristies turned out well...the ridgline organizer, not so much...the pockets don't work very well when they're upside down

With that said...I've already completed and put to use a full length down winter UQ. DIY gear is easy once you get the hang of it, and the low hanging fruit like ridgeline organizers, snake skins, stuff sacks, and wrist warmers is good practice for the bigger, more expensive, and time consuming stuff.

I'm making my daughter her first hammock right now, and a TQ, summer tarp, and gaiters are already in the planning stages. It's addicting, as you'll soon find out.

    Keep up the good work!

Yep, that first one is a peak bag.

It looks like you're using cordura nylon for what I'm assuming is a stake bag...looks good, and should hold up exceptionally well.

That's interesting! The picture shown of the peak bag is taken from my own yard! Wonder where he got the peak bag design then also?? Hmmm... must have ordered one from us?? Don't mind DIY but copying our products and pictures for retail is dissappointing. 2Q

    EDIT...see post #15 below
