    Talking Newbie Hammocker....in Mississippi

Howdy guys!! I've been wanting a hammock for a while and just wasnt sure what to get. The first hammock I heard about was the DD hammock out of the UK. I watched a couple of vids about them and they looked good and with me being in MS with all the mosquitos I liked the fact it had netting attached. Well I checked out some other vids on the HH, Warbonnet, and others making their own.
I just had a bday and my wife got me a ENO Double Nester while in Smyrna, Ga at Going Gear. I have to say its pretty comfortable, I'm a big boy, short and squatty...LOL, I'm working on the big to make smaller. The ENO has a max weight of 400 lbs, so I felt for sure it would hold me. Sure enough it does. I love the outdoors but never was able to sleep to well on the ground, so, I thought I would try a hammock!
Thanks to all of the vids on Shugs YT channell, I'm hooked and ready to go!
Still got to get a tarp and netting, but that will come soon enough.

Hawknknife: I hail from Mississippi myself -- 40 miles north of Vicksburg in Rolling Fork. My folks still live there. Welcome to HF and be sure to sleep with a pad or some clothes on in those hammocks on warm Mississippi nights. Those straw-nosed little blood suckers in your neck of the woods can stick through your hammock and get at your blood.

My father in law visited us in Rolling Fork once from east Mississippi. Only wore shorts. I had told him to bring jeans and he blew me off. By 7 o'clock that warm night, he was begging for real britches! It was a clap-your-hands-and-kill-four-skeeters night.
