Yep, still have it in my phone. I'm going to plan on getting on the road down there around 6:00 AM. That should put me at the trail head around 9:15 or so.

Once you figure out which way you guys are going to hike, give me a call. If I don't answer, shoot a text just in case I'm outside of service on the way down (it can get really sketchy down in Vinton county).

I'll plan on meeting you guys along the trail and hiking to Site C from there.

A quick clarification...the trailhead parking is at hope furnace, right?

Accuweather is reporting 42* and possible rain or snow for McArthur (about 10 miles SW of the trail) during the day tomorrow...stay dry. If it's all snow, it'll still be wet before the front moves in.

Saturday is looking like 27* and AM flurries during the day, and 15* for the low Saturday night. Nice and cool.

You know what they say about Ohio...if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes.

It's looking pretty iffy for me guys, my sweetie is coming down with a bug which is no small deal for folks who are immuno compromised. The weather looks like it is shaping up nicely for a mid-winter hang, I'm sure you guys will have a great time.

Hope all is well David. My wife is similar due to her disease/ transplant, so I know even a minor cold isn't something to scoff at.

Did not Dave, but I did lose my marttiini puuko up there.

Trip was crazy. Just uploading pics from Sat morning from camp H to do a mini report, but the camp C setup was the perfected setup. Phone was dead though, no pics. There was an adventure every turn from the time Luke and I showed up Friday afternoon.

Between mamlfunctioning gear, losing gear, assault rifle carrying forest rangers making me think they're other hangers... that's on top of the crazy weather. Trip report coming Dave, we missed you up there buddy but it was COLD, lemme tell you.

I checked the weather reports from Saturday - Sunday, and officially, at the closest Weather Underground reporting station, the minimum temp was 16 degrees, and the wind was 11 MPH with gusts up to 26 MPH.

At camp C, on top of the ridge, I measured 10 degrees at approximatley 8:00 AM, and I KNOW we had winds stronger than 26. My hillbilly tyvek doors and DIY UQ worked flawlessly through everything. Slept warm and cozy through the night, and had to be woken up in the morning by Luke.
