    Test hang no.1

My first ever test hang the other night. My Trekmates Expedition hammock arrived from amazon (£20!) and I slung it up off one of the beefy joists in the garage roof. Suspension was via the 3m black cord supplied, finished off with a pair of these - They're not traditional karabiners, but they do the job. I also have a nice dark green tarp, which I'm currently messing around making guys for. Here's the result:

Congrats on the hammock and successful hang. Good luck with the tarp and please let us know how the first outdoor hang concludes.

You could turn the lights off and have a nice view through that window. Good napping spot.

Congrats! I like the look of the hammock ends with the lines instead of solid material.
A creative person could figure out how to tweak the lay in such a hammock.
I'm glad I don't have one though; I would get a headache trying every conceivable adjustment.

Nice start! If you're interested, you could save weight by whipping the ends with a whoopie & dumping all of the extra cordage.

Yeah, I'm thinking of turning it into my GCSE revision spot. Run an extension lead out for my laptop and some speakers for some music, that kind of thing.
