I'm doing an over night hike/hang this weekend on the Tanbark trail which uses the same parking lot as Hickory Creek Wilderness area. I'll post snow/no snow findings on Monday! It is my first hike with a new club I found in NE OH. I think they are mostly grounders. I hope they aren't neck twisting, zombie vampires or worse. Oh wait! There might not be no worse than that!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

    Hey TwoTents,

I did a trip with a group of them NEOH's. All were groundlings. They were surprised I brought a hammock as it was the first weekend of January (2009 IIRC). Don't know if any have converted. Haven't been able to do a trip with them again (scheduling issues). Good people on my trip, very welcoming and friendly.

I hear ya. Our 6 - 8 inches of snow in Potter Co. is all but gone from the rain and warm temperatures the last 2 days. But it could get cold and snow within a day or so of the gathering and we'd be all set. Will see.

Yep,All the snow gone from my place too. Nice and cold though. I am hoping for no rain. Oh, I received an e-mail from Hammock Gear and I should have my under quilt by the hang date.Like the top quilt so far. Sure will lighten the pack/sled weight.Got whoopee slings on the way too.Still cant decide what to bring to cook with yet. May just stick with the old grease pot and fire, with alcohol stove for breakfast, or beer can pot, whisper light,Coleman butane,Oh boy I think I have to many stoves.
