Well the thread title speaks for itself. Except it should say AN easy compression stuff sack. It's another stuff sack tutorial, but this time for a compression sack. ' Hope its helpful.

Great video and tutorial. Now that I have seen how it's done, it's not as hard as I thought it would be.
Great video, Red
Very detailed and clearly explained. Did you do a video on the construction of your hammock sock? That looks like another excellent creation too.
Cheers
Brian
Thanks L_B. Not hard at all, will be even easier if you're not trying to film it.
Thanks Brian. Didn't do a hammock sock vid. there was way too much guessing and hoping going on and nobody would believe I knew what I was talking about, and they'd be right, because in fact I don't.
Good luck,

Thanks so much for this Red. That's a great looking compression sack. A few questions:
How did you find canvas to work with?
Did you just take rough measurements or were you going off of specific's like the headache-inducing (although very helpful) math shown here?
Did you also shorten the distance on the top webbing like you did for the under side of the bag so as to have the tension on the strap and not on the bag? Or isn't that a concern because it's a roll down top?
Thanks again, great vid and great compression sack.
Syb
Enjoy the elevation
Thanks Syb. I got the canvas locally, it is 7 oz cotton duck found at Fields Fabrics in Portage MI.
No brain cells were harmed by performing math on this project. I just eyeballed the dimensions. Thats why I left it long... too lazy to do the math, thats what makes it "custom" rather than "calculated".
I did not shorten the top strap, I guess I could but I don't think it would roll that nice. I also think that the rolls may give it some strength? I don't know why I think this, I just do.
Good luck,
RED
