Midwest Hang and Campout

Is it at Shawnee? I read a couple of different places. I was unsure whether it had been settled yet.

It's going to be hot as $^&& out there. We need to make sure we are next to a water source too, don't you think? If we are going to backpack into the forest and camp, which is my preference, we could make a time to meet somewhere else to play music if that's what everyone wants, but then we would have to find a place to store the instruments while we are gone. We couldn't leave them in the cars in the summer without being there close to them. A hot day in the car could tear them apart. Maybe it's too complicated to add music to the mix. Mule

of the 3 weekends posted, the only possibility for me is Aug 22-24. Not sure for sure at this point whether that is viable though, I could be hauling a child to college then.

The poll is over and

Sept 12-14th is the winning date for the midwest get together in southern Illinois. It will be at Fort Massac state park there is plenty of water and showers and bathroom's there. The reason for the location is I dont want to have to pack a couple of
smokers up the trail you can understand that right.
I have a list of those who said that date would work and I want to make sure it is still good for them.
bamboobow, canoebie, cincinnatibuck, kwpapke, llamadude, Shug if any of you cant make it that is fine but I am trying to figure out how many smokers I will need to fill and how much food to buy. And if there is anyone out there that finds out they can make it well that will be fine as well just want to make sure there is enough food for everyone.

I am looking forward to getting to meet all of you and seeing you hammock
setups.
