FS- Marwi NightPro Extreme H.I.D. Lighting System

I am selling my Marwi NightPro Extreme HID light with bicycle and helmet mount. I wanted to put it on here for a couple of days before I put it on ebay. This light is extremely bright...I have had cars flash their lights at me at night to get me to dim mine!

I have had this light for about 4 years. I used it probably a dozen times the first year but just have not used it much since; none in the last year actually.

The bulb is a 10 watt metal halide (HID) bulb, manufactured by Solarc, if I remember correctly. The light housing itself is CNC'd aluminum. The power source is a 4.5 amp/hr NiMH battery. Of course it comes with all the cords, charger, and nice carrying case....everything that came with it.

The original claim was that the battery would last 3.7 hours. As with all NiMH batteries, I doubt that it will last that long now. The longest I have used this at one time was in an adventure race three years ago for 3 hours. As I said, I have not used this in the last year other that to turn it on last night. It was still as bright as ever. The battery charge time from completely empty to full is 4.5 hours.

This is not for a weight weenie. Since the battery is NiMH, you know it's heavy. But it's not that big of a deal if you mount it on the handlebars. It does work great as a helmet light, which was my preferred way. I just put the battery in my jersey pocket.

So, in summary, this is a great, super bright light in very good condition. However, I do not know how much burn time the battery has.

I have been as forthcoming as I know how to be on the condition of the light system. Of course I cannot offer any warranty on the lighting system.

    $150 shipped to the CONUS

I do not know. When I bought this, it seems hardly any light was advertised according to lumens like they are now.
This is like having one H.I.D. car headlight on your helmet or handlebars. Very bright. As I said, I have had vehicles flash their lights at me to get me to dim mine.

Metal Halide lamps have a luminous efficacy of 65-115lm/W. So, erring on the side of caution, theory would suggest this lamp has about 650- 1150lm. I can't get the spec sheet for this bulb to open on my "not-so-smart" phone but it can be found at...

    Hope that helps

Shameless bump. I wish there was a good way for me to show how bright this light is. It lights up a large area like a flood, and still has a strong center beam that projects a long way out as well.

I wish I had a use for a light like this; honestly though I don't. You might consider putting it on candlepowerforums.com those guys are truly addicted to bright shinies.

    Best of Luck

i love to but I don't have the funds. Sounds like a real nice light for mountain biking at night.
