    Hey there, from Vancouver

My name is Steve, i'm an ex-infantry guy from Vancouver.... Canada!

I have had some experience hammocking in a HH explorer, but found that certain things about it weren't quite working out. So, this morning I ended up selling it, and what got me posting here is my search for a new one.

And since i'm not an ***, i'll be sticking around the other threads as well

    Hi,

I have personally found that the longer Hennessy hammocks are quite comfortable. I own a deep jungle XL and am very fond of it. Though lately I've been rocking a bridge. Its a shame you live on the other coast as we have a very active group hang calender in Ontario. Maybe you can get some of the BC boys to give you some gear demos.

    Welcome to the mania.

    Dan.

Hello and welcome from Ontario! Lots for great hammocks to choose from. The Warbonnet Blackbird is probably the most popular hammock here. Have fun!

    Howdy!

    What wasn't working for you?
Learning how to tie a couple knots never killed nobody. First ones I ever learned were pretty hard but they've kept my shoes on me for the better part of 45 years.

    Thanks for the welcomes all.

Arbot, the velcro bottom entrance for the most part. Really noisy. Using the HH as a chair is HORRID on the velcro version as well. Aside from that, I plan on doing a decent amount of colder weather camping coming up, and getting all that stuff in the HH with a sleeping pad would be too much of a mess in a small opening.

I'm after a WBBB, with the double layer. Solves the sleeping pad getting in the way, the chair idea is much more practical, the footbox will help, and there's enough room to screw around with more kit on the colder days.

If I was just going to use the hammock for summer use, I may have stayed with the HH.
