Can someone tell me how I would know what type of ridgeline I've got? My BB is brand new, but I thought Zing-It was pretty thin. My ridgeline is at least 7/64" in diameter. It's a dark grey colour if that would help identifying it.

I'm still not sure I'd trust much weight to it, but now I'm curious.

As is mine and it's only about three weeks old. It looks like Amsteel to me but I could certainly be wrong.

I've only seen Zing-It in yellow, it feels kind of "plasticy" (is that a word?), and smaller diameter versus the Amsteel which comes in various colors, and is of a softer texture. Sound to me like your SRL is Amsteel.

My old BB bought last summer was Amsteel. I have another one ordered - I was going to change the SRL to Zing-It when it came in. Hope it already is!

Well it sounds like it's amsteel then. It feels a lot like my 1/8" amsteel but is a darker grey. My BB is only a couple of weeks old. Maybe Brandon has gone back to the amsteel, or maybe he was using up some leftover stuff.

Either way, I'm a happy camper! I feel much better with the amsteel than I would with Zing-It. Much more secure, even if it is mainly psychological.

I'm a big believer in placebo!

I only said "newer" ones because I just received a BB and it had a lash-it ridgeline. It could have been made months ago when he was using lash-it for ridgelines. If your ridgeline is 7/64 and your suspension is 7/64 or 1/8 and if you've made proper buries, then there are no worries. When I first put on the amsteel ridgline I leaned on it with all my weight with my feet off the ground (250 lbs)

Well I guess that's enough for me; I'm only 220, so I guess it's time for jungle jim!

Thanks for the clarification. It sounds like I was worried for no reason.
