    NK Logo Contest

So NK has been open over 6 months now, and since I have worked it out that I will not have to close up shop like I thought in December, I thought it was high time NK had a proper logo. So those of you who are far more talented than I, have any ideas? (I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. I do luckily cut straight lines.) The winner will get a $50 certificate for anything they like from the shop.

Just send your entries into nkoutdoorgear at gmail.

We'll keep this open for a while to see what the response is like.

EDIT: Please remember guys, I cannot use images that are copyrighted by other sources or pictures of hammocks that I do not make!

So, what does "NK" stand for? That might help a little bit.

To be honest, it doesn't really have anything to do with hammocks or my business ethos. My day job makes me learn a lot of stupid acronyms and abbreviations. I was studying for my prelim (a massive, terrifying oral exam) when I named the company, and I couldn't call it CD8 (a type of T cell) Outdoors or GFP (green fluorescent protein) Outdoors. So I picked NK.

Just google NK and immunology and you will find out what it stands for and possibly learn a little about NK cells in the process. But I think NK cells would be a bit too odd to try to incorporate no to mention slightly violent.

I thought that was what it meant being that your name is "lymphocytosis."

We have a couple good artists here, so I'm betting one of the will chime in and give it a shot.

    Good luck dude.

This is funny. You're a really nice and helpful person on HF, but your company name makes me think of this. Ha!

Exactly! lol. I was hoping no one would ever ask what the NK stood for. Bit naive of me in retrospect.

I have already gotten a bunch of really nice entries. Keep them coming! I think I'm going to have a hard time choosing. I may have to come back with a short list so you can vote on them.

Also, please remember guys, I cannot use images that are copyrighted by other sources or pictures of hammocks that I do not make!

    Sent you a couple ideas.
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.
