    Family definately comes first. You know what you have to do & you did a loyal thing by letting us know what is going on. The most important job in the world is being a Dad so if it means customers have to wait a few days (I've been waiting a month for my TQ & UQ but I don't care, I've got plenty of other activities & work to get on with & they will arrive when they do-tomorrow I think), then we just have to wait. Keep up the good work but listen to what you need to do & if people get upset over waiting a few days, perhaps a lesson of patience & empathy will go along way on our end.

    As I'm new and still getting my gear together, I have not as yet burdened you with any of my hard earned hoard, but you are in my sights. A matter of a few days wait as opposed to you out of business is a no-brainer. The 12 hr. shifts, been there done that, didn't get the T-shirt, I wish you well.

    Your gear is worth the wait. Take care of what you need to do. The rest will follow. Don't burn yourself out trying to do too many things at the same time. We are here because it's fun, right? I hope Dutchware remains that way for you. Take care of yourself and your family. We're not going anywhere...

    If you wouldn't keep coming out with so many darn useful pieces of gear, you wouldn't be in this mess!

    J/K. Thanks for being a standup vendor and admitting that sometimes, things can just get overwhelming when you're in a cottage industry. A few days or even weeks wait is nothing when you're honest about it.

    Take care of Dutch and Little Dutch first...they are the two most important things.

    ...and that is rather the point! I got my real introduction to 'cottage industry' through this forum and it is really pretty cool that actual people actually made some of my favorite gear for me.

    Besides, I got my buckles in like 3 days and they are sooooo cool.

    Dutch, as many others have said, take care of your family and yourself first. You have always been one of the most hard working, dedicated, and professional people I have ever met. I am proud to call you friend. Take some time off, enjoy life, the business will be there when you get back to it, just don't get burnt out on us. Matter of fact, since your a one-man operation for the most part, why not suspend the website for a while. The Jacks do it on occasion, and they have a staff. Not that I wouldn't go through some Dutchware withdraw, but I'll take one for the team!
