Janome Model 539 Vogue Stitch in perfect condition - all metal. It's straight stitch and zig zag only but it's built like my singer 201 - all metal and comes in a case. 2 thumbs up or not?

As good a shape as it's in and it does sew, er- inject well -- I talked the good people down to a free custom theme for their website. Only took an hour to build and their happy and I'm happy. Two good machines now.
Janome is a very good name in machines, both industrial and the quilter crowd... Sounds like you got a good deal, enjoy!
Thanks jasonjones.
After talking to the nice lady that had it, she said she only used it 3 times. No one else in the family was interested (store bought clothes, you know). The internals still had a light sheen of oil and everything inside is bright and shiny and tight. Very smooth and quiet. I'll post a pic soon.
Most definitely two thumbs up. Janome is very high end and an excellent machine. Looks like you got a keeper. That is definitely worth some professional TLC just to start things off right.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Thanks Rev! Here's some pics (warning - pictures of naked thread injector - mature viewers only).
It has some dust on it, but the insides look good. I re-oiled it (singer machine oil) and yes I have the manual. The only thing missing is the normal straight stitch foot. It has the zigzag foot on it now. It puuurrrrrs. Sews great! - even with the zigzag foot on it. I weighed the thing and it comes to 32 pounds with the plastic case. Thats as heavy as my Singer 201. I really lucked out on this one.
Goes to show that when you talk to someone about hammocks and sewing, they may have something in the closet they don't want anymore and will trade you for it. I get the feeling that he thinks he got the better deal - HA!, little does he know!

Great score! You may find that the straight stitch foot is easy to find.
