    WM, I may, but I would probably start from scratch with the right materials instead of putting more time into this one. I do have a piece of DWR ripstop I could tack on temporarily though.

    Been reading a bit on synthetic vs. down thing. Approx. a pound or two weight savings and 25% or so of volume savings for down per same amount of insulating power synthetic. Not worth the expense for ME, the way I camp.

    I car camp quite a bit and my MC Easy-Bake Thunderquilt has synthetic innards. Heavy for sure but it does a great job. If I ever started to hike in colder weather I'd care but now I don't.
