The forum is covered in Stickyness

Sticky posts are a great way to keep useful information available, but it seems some of the forums are getting a bit too sticky. The DIY forum has 13 sticky threads at the top of the 33 threads displayed on page 1. That's more than 1/3 of the available bandwidth for the front page. Is there a better way to organize this?

    Thoughts:
A Hall of Fame subforum for threads that are elected to keep forever.
A single Sticky of Stickies post that links to everyone's favorites.
Does sticky / non-sticky status relate to how threads are archived?

There's a lot of awesome stuff in the stickies and it needs to be easy to find for newcomers, I'm just wondering if there are other ways to handle this.

Thanks Mods! You do an excellent job with the forum.

Or could they be moved to the Articles page, and each subforum has a single sticky pointing to that area's articles.

Or can they just show up on the first page of each sub forum?

I agree, with making a Sticky of stickies for each subforum. The large number of stickies, especially in the DIY subforum, makes things look cluttered.

I like it the way it is. I rarely open the subforum pages as I extensively use the "new posts" listings. If I want to know what is in the subforum I want a detailed listing of the best of the best (stickies) right there in front of me rather than having to navigate more hoops and hurdles.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I like the articles idea, there could be a sticky at the top of each forum that brought you to the articles related to that section. good idea.
