I live about 2 miles as the crow flies from the October Mtn. leen-to. I might sneek out and spend the night there with ya. Good hang trees are not that close to the shelter though if my memory serves me corectly.

If you want you can swing over and get a hot shower and hot meal on me. I love cooking on the grill. I'll even pick everyone up at the rd crossing about 1/2 mile from the shelter. Heck I even have lots of trees to.

I'll be keeping an eye on this as well. From great barrington NB is practically my back yard. So work schedule (travel) permitting I may join up with you for a few days, and meet up with you on your 0 day to catch some local must have grub! PM me or I'll shoot you one as the dates get closer.

Go time in less than 2 weeks. I may step up the mileage to be done by June 12. I will be working on setting up the spot so people can track my progress and if anyone wants to meet up I plan on taking my cell to check in from time to time. Plan is at least 10 miles per day but most likely more with a stop over in great barrington for resupply, shower and laundry for a zero day.

R3l@x is picking me up at the train station in Wingdale this Saturday morning cause he is AWESOME and we are hiking the first 2 days together.
