    New Yeti question???

We got our new Yeties in. The instructions said to put them in the dryer with a wrung out wet rag and tennis balls. I assume that the dryer setting should be on just air not warm air. Am I thinking right on this?

    Thanky friends!

Honestly I wouldnt do it. They should puff up just fine after a few hours hung up.

The only time I would do that is if I was actually drying the quilt after I had washed it. I still havent washed my yeti and it still has great loft after 3 years (used about 10-15 days a year of actual trail use)

I generally toss my quilts in the dryer with tennis balls after a half dozen uses or so; really makes them loft back up nicely. But yeah, just air and movement; you don't need any heat.

Why do they need to be put in the dryer if they are new?

Same here. Never had a need to put mine in the dryer. It always lofts up again on it's own hanging in the closet. The other concern with the dryer is losing down. Just packing and unpacking generally always results in some lost down escaping through the tiniest sewing needle holes. The dryer may increase that if you do it too much???
