BB 1.1 double or 1.7 single

I've decided that my next hammock is going to be a Blackbird, but I need to decide between the 1.1 double or 1.7 single. I'm 5'8 and 175-180 lbs. The double would allow for a pad, but I will be using my Yeti most of the time. Is there any advantage to the 1.7 single layer?

Any thoughts from you Blackbird users?

    Thanks.

Well, the single layered Blackbirds are less bulky.

For your size/weight I would go with the 1.1 double

I'm 250lbs and couldn't really feel much difference between the DL 1.1 and the SL1.7. I doubt you'll notice a difference between the two so go for the SL 1.7 for a little weight savings if you plan on using an UQ.
