I thought that was their usual price per yard. Thanks for the update though!

I see a lot of good prices online but then the shipping cost kills it.

I picked up some purple ripstop at my local hancock this weekend. With tax, 5 yards was $16. Once I start cutting into it, I'll weigh it and find out if it's really 1.9 or heavier.

The 40% off coupon is only good till the 15th IIRC. Then the new coupon will come out, what ever it is.

Their new coupon is also 40% off.

Weighed it last night, ~1.7 oz/yd.

Strong enough for a DIY Hammock?

I am a noob, and want to make a hammock. What do you think about this for a hammock to hold a 210 lb person?

I went in last week without any coupon and they said they would do 40% off any fabric not on sale. I got 4 yards of black ripstop for 3 dollars a yard. I also got some "noseeum like" fabric for 2 dollars a yard.

It holds me at 215# plus my 60# daughter with no problem.
