I picked up some purple ripstop at my local hancock this weekend. With tax, 5 yards was $16. Once I start cutting into it, I'll weigh it and find out if it's really 1.9 or heavier.

I went in last week without any coupon and they said they would do 40% off any fabric not on sale. I got 4 yards of black ripstop for 3 dollars a yard. I also got some "noseeum like" fabric for 2 dollars a yard.
