    Greetings Mtbikernate,

About 3 hours west of Spokane you'll find some awesome hiking and scenery in the Washington Cascades. Below is a link to a trip to Waptus Lake I took with the wife a couple of years ago. I've spent time in the southern section of Alpine Lakes and in the Goat Rocks wildernesses and both are great areas to backpack in. There's great stuff farther north too but I haven't been there... yet...

If I were going to relocate,,Montanna, or Wyoming would be my pics..man,,the big sky country is nothing but awesome. And what a jump off in any direction for 500 to 700 miles..or even a 1000 mile drive. The drive alone is intense.

That's where I put it in the first place. Some mod moved it FROM there TO here. Like I said, odd.

Not really an option. The cities/towns are too small for both my wife and I to find jobs in the same place. My wife found a place in Great Falls, MT, but I couldn't find anything there. And the pay they offered her wasn't going to be enough to make up the difference.

Well if your wife gets a job here in Spokrane/Spokompton (yes I spelled it that way for a reason) The friggin congratulations, for finding a job in the city ranked #3 in the nation for worst place to find a job.

"we" have alot of outdoor stuff to offer, and there is ton of cool places to go.

But that is it. The people suck, the city is run into the ground, the economy is crap, and the pay sucks for the job you get. And I am only scratching the microbial of the surface.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.
