Whats the pros and cons of the two, what do you have, why did you chose or do you regret not getting.
Guess this goes with any top quilts. About to drop the dime on a custom and wanted to hear fron yall.

I did like the idea of the versatility of the snaps.. but in the time I've had my TQ I never have yet. 65* down below freezing, never unsnapped them, just took my foot out of the footbox. I'm going to be seeing if Adam can sew my footbox in here sometime when they're business is slower.
I like the cinched end on the snap version. Does the sewn version have that?
I like to be able to vent the footbox when I have down booties on.
My preference would be based on the rating of the TQ. If it is a winterr TQ then definitely sewn box. If it is 3-seasons, snaps and have the versatlity.

All of my Burrows are sewn foot boxes. I wanted to make sure my feet stayed nice and cozy when tucked away on a chilly night. I like the big cushy round bottom that they have and if my feet do get a bit to warm I just stick them on top of the quilt. I am also not a big fan of any hard wear attached to my quilts so for those reasons I've always gone with sewn. What temp rating are you considering getting your Burrow for. I would personally say for 0 or 20 a a sewn foot box is the way to go, for a 40 or 50 you could go either way but I personally still prefer sewn. YMMV
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
My intensions are to get a 20° Burrow amd cover most of my needs and then maybe sometging for summer later. I noticed that the cinched/snaps vesion has a hole in the bottom still in the pictures on their website. Snaps give you options but with your alls input Im thinking sewn for this one and maybe try the snaps for the warmer months. May have it sewn so far and a couple snaps just above them to create more of pocket, my knees are a little higher than most.
I like the snaps on both of my burrows. I have sometimes used more / less snaps based on conditions and have definitely opened it all the way up for a uber-highspeed down throw!

I didn't have any feelings one way or the other on snaps vs. sewn, so I just asked Adam what he recommended, and he's partial to the sewn footbox.
No complaints so far - the last place I would ever get overheated and need to vent are my feet. I just toss an arm out from under the TQ for temperature regulation, or I toss the TQ to one side.
Sewn 20 and sewn 40, just because I like the extra room at the bottom where there's a flat panel. When I'm too warm there's room to move my feet apart and when it's really cold there is enough room for extra stuff like pads, down booties/mocs, etc.

I originally had snaps. Over the course of time one pulled through, my bad!! Sent it back to Adam and had him sew it shut, leaving the drawstring in for venting. Love it this way. TY Adam & Jen
