Well, The ridge Rest will still work. And you can duct tape some reflectix wings or something on it to keep your shoulders warm. Is there anyway you can set up in the back yard and do some testing first?

Shoulders and butt... shoulders and butt... An extender for the shoulders would make it fine.
I have, as my first hammock purchase, picked up a used Tenth Wonder Green Hornet (very similar to DD). I was wondering. I have two Exped Synmat 9 deluxe pads that are 6'x 26". I was thinking I could put a partially inflated mat in the space between the extra ground layer that's velcroed to the bottom, and put the other in the sleeve of my Big Agnes bag, also partially inflated. Will that help with the Cold Back Syndrome?
This may seem wierd, but i have an ENO singlenest and an ENO pronest. I took the biners out of the pronest, which is alot smaller, and replaced them with shock cord on each end. I then clip each end to the biners on the singlenest to where it lays just below it. I then add my thermarest 24 inch pad between them. It's like a pocket between the two hammocks. The pad stays put all night and the pronest only adds 10ozs to my pack load. It works for me!
I can't speak for the warbird, I have a Clark NA. However, I've hung in that with a large Thermarest (Ridgerest with silver on one side, green on the other) in my 20 degree bag and was comfortable in the low 30's overnight. I also had on a hat and fleece inside the bag.
I'm using a Thermarest self inflator with two Garlington insulators made of small stuff sacks with space blankets shoved in them for my shoulders, inside the hammock. They are very easy to shape and place where needed, and work great in temps where the pad is warm enough. Have also used bubble wrap in the Garlingtons. It works, but the reflective space blanket is better.
