    Just a goof...

    I am not an avid camper. I am an individual who enjoys learning new things. I really joined to see the whoopie sling spreadsheet, but made my first whoopie slings before I was allowed access. My first hammock has been a overwhelming success and my kids and I are enjoying it now. I had about 3 full yards of denim laying around, and I picked up some amsteel and some 1" webbing and made a hammock. My 240# self, along with my 85# son and my 45# son all fit comfortably, so it's been "proofed". Thanks for the website and the info, you all have been most inspirational.

    Thanks for the warm welcome! Now that I've made my first hammock I'll be making another one soon. This denim one was really an experiment to see if I had the instructions correct, and I had the fabric just laying around. I'll be purchasing rip-stop for the next one. I'll also be making the next one longer. My sons aren't going to let me take this one down now. Guess I need to update my profile now to reflect the hammock status...
