What to do with this down?

Over a year ago, I got a deal on some 750fp down, and I bought 9 oz of it. I'm not sure why I didn't get more to make a top quilt (I'm currently using a sleeping bag). Now I don't know what to do with it.

Buy more down? 750fp doesn't seem as readily available any longer.
Just buy 800 and use a mix?
Just buy 800 and use 750 in some baffles and 800 in the others?
    Is 9 oz of 750 enough for a 3/4 3-season underquilt?
    Should I make something else?

    What are your thoughts?

Fronkey made himself some down socks, used half ounce each one. You could make a passel of them with 9oz.

That's about the right amount of 750fp down for a good vest or jacket.

That would be plenty of down for a 3/4 UQ depending on the dimensions that you make it.

I'm a fan of the bootie and vest idea. I love my booties and I love my vests...the vest is super handy.

That would be almost enough down for a full length UQ. Would be just perfect for a 3/4 length UQ. 9*750 =6750 cu in.
    56.25 (length) *48 (width)=2700
    2700*2.5 (baffle depth)=6750
Shorten it a hair or make the quilt trapezoid instead of rectangular and you've got yourself an overstuffed 3/4 UQ.
    Boom!

Or, you could mail it to me and I could come up with something to make out of it. PIF!

should have enough to make a UQ... but you will be cutting it close... i don't see no harm in mixing in some 800 fill to make what you really want... a TQ
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Is there a rule book saying a quilt has to be 20F or 40F rated? Just look at quilts on the market, and calculate how much warmth = fill-power you can pack with what you have.

That's about the quantity of fill-power in the newest JRB partial UQ and more than the fillpower of an HG 40F Phoenix. If HG made a 40F Burrow in the short size or RAB did, the way WM does for some of their bags, that's just short of how much FP they'd include. (So fill the the part of the footbox your feet would crush with synth.)
