Well I just wanted to put up an update. Friday night we had a group hang here is Chesterfield of which my youngest son, the one in above pictures, did his first outdoor hang. He did wonderful. Even though the weather sucked with rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow he didn't complain once. He took it like a trooper. He is a couple of pictures of our setup.

That is so cool. My boy likes his ENO DN but asked for a bug net before he goes camping in it.
Life looks better from a BIAS hammock.

Great setup! I wanted to take my 10 year old daughter out for an overnighter, but was concerned about her getting scared in a HH Scout. I have a BWDD winter dream, and can use a wallyworld tarp to do something similar to your setup until I order another tarp. I think she will feel much safer if she can sit up and see me close by.

Nice to see some New England weather!

Thanks Guys. He really enjoys it. Actually he enjoys it so much right now he is test driving his new Hennessy Scout bottom closer out in the 3 season porch. where he is in the top pictures. I think he is liking it a lot. So guys start posting up picks of your kids in Hammocks.

My son is 9 - loves his hammock. I got in this whole thing after he and I spent a few hours in the dark scouting for a place to pitch the tent on the AT... made the first of a three night trip pretty tough for him (7 at that trip). We don't get out as much as I'd like, but no more looking for a flat spot and clearing out rocks and whatnot makes it sooo much easier.
