Both the East and West sections of the Green Swamp are great to hike, just make sure you're wearing your blaze orange if you're hiking in hunting season. Great vid Ed!

Absolutely right, lilricky. No one wants to be mistaken for a deer in the scrub. The FWC website is a little difficult to find information at times, but it is very important to be aware when the hunting seasons are. The hard part is there are special hunts that won't make the website until the last moment. Thanks for the input.

Excellent video, EDO! I really enjoyed looking at those big oaks. I must get up there for a hike - maybe next fall. Thanks for posting.

Now I have more than one reason to hike the Green Swamp! Nice vid!

Love the FT (joined the FTA) - and eventually want to thru hike. But I'll sure be checking out Green Swamp soon.

Great report edhess. Though I had problems with the second video. You link twice to the same video with two different links and how that is possible beats me. I found part 2 on your YouTube channel. Thanks for sharing your hike.
    Best,
    Blaze

BlazeAway... having a double link to the same video does not surprise me at all. I warned you I am a rookie at this video deal. But no matter my gaffs, I'm still glad you were able to see the videos.

OldScout ... Glad you joined FTA. This winter I have been fortunate to help out with FTA trail maintenance at Myakka State Park. Makes me feel like I get to give something back to others who use the trail too. Hope to see you on the trail.

MAD777 ... Great to hear from you Mike. I think you'd enjoy the area. It is quite a change from your neck of the woods. Sorry I have to miss next weeks sojourn.

Tenderheart314 ... Gator Hole is a great campsite. I really enjoyed the varied terrain around that area. Could do without the road noise, but the king/camping is great.
