    Talking Valentine Pranksters....

.....surprise a new owner of a BMBH!

Well, I have studied and analyzed my decision to purchase a Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock for some time, and finally came to the point where I was going to pull the trigger on a purchase. You see, I am going up to the AT this weekend and wanted to try out a truly horizontal lay.

I am lucky that I live near the Jacks R Better HQ here in VA and have had the opportunity to go and look at the hammock set up first hand. I started this process about 6 months ago, even going by and testing my Big Agnes Insulated pad on one occasion. After months of contemplating, I was ready to go with the BMBH.

I called over the weekend and left a message that I would be visiting to make my purchase. I swung by the office yesterday only to find out that they were "out of stock" on the hammocks and were expecting a shipment in a couple of weeks. So I talked hammocks a bit with Jack and left disappointed.

Later that evening prior to going to bed, I was sneaking in to place a Valentine card on my wife's pillow, only to find a package on my own pillow instead. When I bring the package out to open in front of Mrs. Fullcount..., what do I find but a brand new BMBH!

You see, when I left my phone number on the message machine, I mistakenly left my wife's number (it is similar). That was a mistake! When Jack called back, they got my wife, who started the entire prank attack. Mrs. Fullcount put the plan into motion. You see, she talked the Jacks into stalling me and concocted the entire plan and the Jacks being sneaky like they are, played right into the whole scheme. I was wondering why they would not let me back into the shop! You see, they have plenty of hammocks in the back room. They just wanted to "play their cards" for maximum impact. You know how it goes when someone pulls Jacks out of the hole when you are least expecting them.

Thanks Jack & Jack...it was a wonderful surprise. Me and the Mrs will be talking about this memory for a long time. I will give you a full report on my first trip out with a Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock after the weekend trip is over.

    Very cool!
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.

Normally I couldn't care a #%@ *** about Valentine, but this is definitely GREAT! From your wife and the Jacks of course.

And since helpful friendly stories like these are abundant on HF: another big thanks to all!

Large, friendly, unknown family and friends over here... I like it....

All I got was a card.

Lucky you, all I got was a card. Thanks for sharing.
