    First WBBB hang.

Had my first WBBB 1.1dbl Hang this weekend.
    Great stuff...

In comparison to my hennessy UL Backpacker, i preferred the lay in the WBBB,
    slightly more comfortable.
I did have a little trouble with my UQ, i used the same JRB winter nest as i always have on my hennessy, but the footbox on the WBBB didnt seem compatible... not sure what i was doing wrong.
Anyone else have this issue? or a better UQ suspension method for the WBBB?

Temps got down to 8F so i woke up with numb feet, luckily i had my down booties on the shelf waiting for me.

The shelf was fantastic! i didn't tie out the hammock because of the temp drops and also the tarp was pitched pretty tight. But the shelf didn't bother me at all.Even loaded up with book, headlight, down booties, and gloves.

And finally, the hennessy needs a taught ridgeline (for me) to lay correctly whereas the WBBB doesnt.
Which means the trees can be much closer, making it usable in MANY more places, especially here in New England.

I also slept out in my WBBB 1.1 double this past weekend, and I was toasty warm and comfortable. I had my down booties on as soon as I got into the hammock, so my feet never got cold. My UQ was snugged up and covered the footbox also. You may need to just tweak your UQ a bit. It got down in the 20's in SC. I was warm, but the wind kept waking me up blowing the tarp around. I thought it was tight, but it seemed to flap a lot, but it was very windy.

Hey there. I did a video showing some UQs on the Blackbird and some fixes to cover the footbox. Hope it will give some insight to your dilemma.
    Carry forth.

When I use my Blackbird, I make sure that the UQ suspension cord goes OVER the top of the footbox. Then I have no problems with compatibility with any of my quilts.

Doing our first hang this weekend as well. The boys made lean-tos last weekend, and the blackbird landed a day after we got back...but no worries, I am anxious to get amongst the trees and sway in the breeze. Let us know how your weekend went, and pop up some pictures when you get back.
