Well it appears the software update is moving right alone.

Well I think I have finally worked most of my bugs out hammock setup. Spent the last three weekend sleeping in the backyard. Can't wait to spend a weekend on the Kern River soon seeing what I missed. I have a Grand Trunk UL with whoopie slings (I finished tonight) and straps.
I'm still working on the staying warm part. Using CCF wings with a Thermarest.

I stumbled upon a video from SHUG about 3 weeks ago and had to try a hammock. The part about consistency of sleep hit home. Man that guy is a real talent! My grandson is getting to where he wants to go camping so this is the year.

Year before last after many years not hiking I decided after a trip to the Grand Canyon it was time to get back to hiking. I plan on doing a rim to rim late this year. Last summer I took a couple of solo 2 and 3 day hikes into the Golden Trout Wilderness and have embraced the UL program. I started with enough stuff to seriously consider getting a pack mule and have worked down to a manageable 19 lbs.
