Making a pulk to haul my winter gear.

I know that a pulk is not hammock gear, but it's to haul my hammock gear...related? Just a couple simple questions. Is it better to attach the poles to sides of the belt or is it better to attach them to the center of the belt and why?

What do you use for a cover? Do you just wrap everything in a tarp? Make a custom cover and use shock cord and cinch it up. Thanks.

I find it's easier to control the turns with the poles on my hips rather than central.

I use a giant dry bag (80L) for all my kit at the moment but I'm thinking about splitting it up a bit better with a cover or two ...

Another way is to get your dig a harness and take her with she gets some excercise. Plus they are great heaters in the hammock at night. I got my digs harness up north in Minnesota.

I like them not in the center.. I feel it helps with control and turning..
