My peapod is made from a sleeping bag. No where near as good as speer pods. I tried cinching the head end but the cord was all over my head!
Here's my idear. Just cinching the bottom Half and adding suspension to it to connect to the hammock suspension. I was also considering adding grosgrain loops down the side and runnning the suspension the whole way so when I unzip it doesn't fall to the ground.
Yeah, I never cinch the top of mine (sleeping bag peapod also) - i have a couple loops sewn in to the head that I run shockcord to suspension, then just cinch bottom closed (which also gets shockcorded to suspension).
unzipped it won't fall to the ground, but the top piece may drag down if opened far enough... i was gonna sew a little loop right there to tie it to ridgeline when I'm ready to get out.
