What were some examples of pack weight?

I can't speak for others but my pack weight with food was around 55 lbs no pulk. By trips end tho I hadnt used half of the cloths I brought with me so I could likely trim 3-5 lbs off that easily and I packed out another 5-7 lbs of food too. Not having done this before I erred on the side of over geared, and over fed.

The trip was great, good food, good company, and the weather was nearly perfect. Reached an overnight low of around -26 Celsius, although it felt more like -30. Lots of tracks around but no real wild life to speak of.

Special thanks to my wife Odd_Duck for helping me with DIY the Ryvr Bed Underquilt it powered through the first night of -18 celsius and performed more then admirably at -26. Thanks also to Bubba for the foot warmers without them they might be calling me 8 toe Joe right now.

The “Bush Craft Stool” project was about eliminating the need to carry in something to sit on. I usually burn my projects when done but I liked the roughly finished product and decided to lug it out….I weights 10 times more than the camp stool I left in the trunk? Not too sure I'm winning the "Carry less weight" game

You guys got all of the snow! Good for you, I'm glad you are enjoying it.

Thanks for the pictures and the trip report.

    Well done everyone!

Sounds like the trip was a success! Well done guys! Brilliant photos as always [o]TTeR, thanks for taking the time to share. What a great group shot with the HF flag. An overnight low of -26c brrrrr.... that's a wee bit chilly!

Thanks Fronkey gonna be retiring it soon though, I have an idea for a more comfortable bridge design, assuming its not an epic failure the Lazy Ryvr Bridge will get a place among the honored dead as it were

I love the pic of the snowshoes. All different in design, but all traditional. Nice.
