    Has anyone tried rigging side pullouts with a tarp that doesn't have loops sewn in? Simply tying your shockcord or what have you around a small rock or marble inside a small bunched up bit of tarp?

    Is this method likely to tear a tarp in blustery conditions?

    Search Grip Clips.

    JRB sells them. I've used them on one of my tarps for a few years with no issues.

    i now use lines on each individual pull out, after watching my tarp fall in on me with snow/wind.

    i used to use a line to connect the tieouts , and then run a line off that... but it didn't work out so well as stated above.
