Wouldn't that make the UQ sage since you would be effectively lengthening the shockcord that goes around the ends of the hammock.
I kinda like the new design. Once you know where your butts going to be in any given hammock you pretty much need to lock it in place.
The new design allows you to do just that.

I had a good chat with Adam today on the phone and we talked through suspension techniques. The man knows his business! I was impressed. The bottom line, like Knotty mentioned is sag. Sag is compounded when it gets cold since the shock cord stretches more plus the extra weight in the bag.
I'm eager to see and try the new suspension system. For smaller or summer-weight quilts, it may not be as big of a deal.
