I'm glad you're ok and that you still enjoyed your trip! Lots to be said for that. Especially with barely being able to walk 4 years ago. You should be very proud of yourself!

It certainly sounds like you had an ordeal. I'm glad everything turned out okay.

Glad you made it out ok. We had some issues of our own but had a great time.
I'll post a full report soon.

I'm looking to get back up to the Grand Canyon this weekend to do some more scouting for the Columbus Day hike. If any one wants to join me just give me a holler and we'll work something out. Looking for a good hang north of Horse Run. Should be doable.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I know this more than fits the definition of short notice but I am wanting to get out tomorrow (March 5) for the weekend. Anybody interested in joining me? I'm looking at doing some of the central mountain areas in Bald Eagle and Tiadaghton State Forests. This is not a butt kicker but I would enjoy the company if you need to get out your own self.

I need to get out this weekend (June 12-14) and since I can't make it to the Northern hang out in Wisconsin is there anyone who wants to schlep along with me somewhere local. I am not a speed demon and don't get into butt kicking endurance mileage. Let me know and we'll work something out. I want to get out Friday morning and stay out until some time on Sunday. I have no real plans at the moment.

    Thanks
I have transportation issues that mean I need to stay near home. Otherwise I might be heading to Wisconson even so.

We are heading from 183 to 501 (or maybe back to 183) on the A.T. Just one night out on Sat the 13th. I know you know the locale. Also you know 1 of the 2 6 yo girls and parents who are going along. If you lost my cell phone it's listed on here.
