Can you lie flat in a Clark?

I know in a WBBB you can lie diagonally and get pretty flat. Can you do the same in a clark?

Depends on how tall you are. I'm 5'8 and I can get pretty flat in the 250 and in the NA just a little bit of a banana.

I can get a similar lay in my TX-200 compared to my WBBB. Gotta love the weathershield and netting that fully stores away if needed! It's a toss up between the two, love them both!

Diagonal yes, flat no. Even in the diagonal you still have the banana effect. The baby and the ballerina lay work good for me.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.

Yes, you can get quite flat in a Clark, but it takes some fiddling with the suspension.

I have, no fooling, woken up in the morning on my stomach. Of course, considering my Budda-like physique, there was probably a MAJOR curve that my stomach filled...

I believe I'm flat when I lay on my side with legs out and comfortable. Small bed Clark or large. I don't think I'm flexible enough that a pronounced sag would go unnoticed. But, I have no photos to prove I am flat.

That said, I have found remarkable and even funny photos and videos HF forum member have had taken of them in which they say they are demonstrating a flat lay. From the same photo I see not just butt-cheek push-out but a 170-160 degree jackknife when I use the line of the back and the legs to estimate the bending.

I'm not disputing their claim to be comfortable, just the characterization of the lay as "flat."

Would you not be able to lay flatter in a shorter 150?
Seems to me the shorter the hang - the flatter.

I am 6' tall and cannot get a flat comfortable lay in my sons NX 150 however my NX 250 lays almost flat (depending on the tension of the hang) and feels like a totally different hammock than the 150. The shoulder squeeze of the 150 is a bit much for me as well, I wear a 46 reg suit coat.

I'm sure you know what you are doing. But, I'm not alone in often not understanding what is going on. For example, sometimes the NX 150 bed-sized Tropical 2 seems narrow to me, and there's more shoulder squeeze than I want. Is my hang different? Did the way I ran and tightened the suspension on the UQ make that much difference in squeezing the sides?

Nah........ the problem went away when I realized I was laying on a big pleat or two at the bottom of the hammock. As soon as I raised one shoulder and butt cheek, then the other, and smoothed the hammock bed out beneath me , the shoulder squeeze was gone as the missing and necessary width returned. (But I'm a suit size 42, not a 46)
