    Whoopie sling advice

Having got my whoopie slings for 1 of my hammocks, I need some advice. I have watched all the vids / photo shots, is it nessasary to always put the fixed loop end at the hammock? Can I safely reverse it? I have a climbing rated karabiner at my hammock end, which also acts as drip ring, this is what I want to do if its possible.
Attach the adjustable end of the whoopie to the Karabiner at the hammock end, & the fixed loop end of the whoopie around the marlin spike at the tree end? My reason for doing this is to stop the adjustable end blowing off in the wind or when making adjustments at the MSH end. Also weight is not an issue, so not looking to replace the Karabiners with anything lighter....

So long as the fixed loop is big enough to attach to the MSH (on the knot, not on the toggle) I don't see why this wouldn't work fine. HYOH (Hang Your Own Hammock)

That will work. The only possible drawback is having to pull upwards at head height or above if you need to tighten one end, and that's only a bother if you have a lot of weight in your hammock or the trees are far apart and you need lots of tension.

Whoopie can definitely be used either way, it may be less likely to fall from the MSH during adjustment when reversed. Hang easy!

that will work.maybe try one side adjustable loop down and the other adjustable loop up so you can compare.
