Welcome to the forums from your neighbor here in Bama...
Once you get up off the ground and discover how comfy a hammock can be, you won't want to go back to that yucky tent. No rocks! No tree roots! No flat spot needed!
Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.

Welcome from Lawrenceville, GA. I wasn't a hanger until about a 1 1/2 years ago. Got an ENO and all the fixin's and I've never slept better on an outing. Going on a backpacking trip this weekend to Providence Canyon and can't wait to get in the hammock. Once you decide on your hammock, you'll never tent again!

welcome to Hammock Forums and hey from high point nc.
You're in the right place, as already said by others before, please be sure to check out all 10 of Shugs Tips for Noobs, it really breaks it down and snows you the best of the basics. I still go back often and watch his videos. Watch the Forums section too for upcoming hangs in our area.

Get comfortable you will be here awhile. There is a lot to soak in. And then you can enjoy the happy reflection in a your hammock.
