I grew up in Bemidji. If memory serves, your BlueJackets met my Lumberjacks in the state high school hockey tournament in the early 70's, I was playing trombone in the pep band, and saw a lot of hockey!
Don't recall who won the game though. Edina took the tournament, they were the powerhouse at the time.

Yeah Brrr-midji is a nice town. I actually grew up in so mn( town called Olivia). Relocated to the range because of a former employer and now just trying to enjoy it.
