Great pics (as usual) Marty! I had a blast and if I wasn't so exhausted I would say "let's do it again next weekend"

I'm chiming in late with another Kudo for the whole thing.
I was first to arrive and first to leave, due to prior family commitments this morning. I finished cooking as the guests pulled in the drive.
In my opinion, this site was better because of the creek running next to it. There's just something about flowing water and camping.
Although it's Florida and the water "Must" be warm, it was cool enough to make Old Dog scream and rush out when he decided to bathe Saturday afternoon. (He doesn't have the hiker tolerance for pit pollution that I have developed).
The food was indeed, phenomenal. I continue to be amazed with the magic these guys pull out of a dutch oven
The Florida branch of Hammock Hangers are doing ourselves proud. With another hang next month scheduled, that will be four events in a five month period ( I think: November, January, February and the coming Green Swamp hang in March)
Then I hit the AT for a month in April.
Life is GOOD.

Same thank you to all my camping friends from hammock hangs past, and to my new hammock friends just met this weekend.
Good times and great eats around the always burning cook-fire. Beautiful gem of an Oak & Pine hammock there in Lake Wales Ridge.
Thanks everyone for a great time.
Hope to hang with a bunch of you next month.
Melissa has put up a video showcasing her "Wildergimp" stroller/cart that she uses to be able to hike/camp/hang. Great job showing a lot of the trip, thanks Melissa!
I forgot to mention earlier about dead-eye Sam spotting the pygmy rattlesnake in the middle of the camp. It was an amazing find in all of that leaf litter!
Here is the video:

Nice job on the video & still shots Melissa. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Great photos Emcee! Samsara let Melissa know that I loved the video.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Wow! I've never seen that much food so far away from the trailhead!
It looked like a "mini" version of the big annual hang at Buck Lake.
The setting was special, the food was special, the hike was special, but none of that was as special as sitting around the fire with friends old and new!
Once again Emcee has provided the signature photograph of the event and Melissa's video says it all! Samsara proves once more his hammock hang hosting hospitality by lugging in firewood & a Dutch oven before the event. Happy Hanger & his son Sam (who found the pigmy rattler in camp) lugged in more firewood. Olddog has not only embraced, but mastered Dutch oven cooking! Tstain road in on his "sugar sand" bike; kind of like a mountain bike with monster tires. Even though the hammock he ordered hadn't come in yet, O-boy stopped by for a day visit.
