Finally I have finished the first stages of my new Bridge hammock, (proper name pending). Took some inspiration from several places but the end result is a stable bridge hammock with absolutely no waist or shoulder pinch as well as support at the back of the knee and lower back.
The hammock still needs end caps and a bug net but so far I am very happy with the results.
More pics to come but all I had with me was my cell phone camera and it was colder then I expected when I went out to test.

Looks great. I like he idea of bringing the spreaders inside the hammock. Those Easton poles right? You had hole for the tips to enter into I am guessing. Love the camo.

Not easton bars although I suppose they would work too. These are more or less the same bars off the Chrysalis.
Bringing the bars inside the hammock particularly at the head helps to greatly reduce any shoulder pinch you get from a more traditional style of bridge as well as helping to create lift at the back of the neck. I found that I didnt really need a pillow in the hammock.
As for the Camo material I love that stuff. Not only is it a lightweight ripstop nylon but its also calendered and down proof. I pretty much use it for everything.

Added end caps and a gearloft so far so good. Not too sure how I'm goin to add the bug netting yet or how a zipper opening will be incorporated.
