This weekend, we finally got good enough weather to get away and enjoy the outdoors. We had two new hangers trying out hammocks for the first time, and I think the enjoyed it enough to at least give it a try again. It was a cold weekend for first timers, but they stayed warm enough the first night to give it a second night without getting the tent out. First night, got down to 29*, second night was 33*.

The wind was terrible when we got to the campground, so we started looking for the best spot to setup. The campsite we choose had a ledge that dropped about 30 feet or so, seen behind the chairs here...beautiful view by the way.

Down below this ledge was the perfect spot to setup out of the wind, and it made a big difference in the first nights sleep. Below is a pic from the ledge looking down at the setup.

Saturday we drove over into the Little River Canyon and found the two backcountry campsites down on the river...we will be trying these sites out on our next trip. Beautiful sites for camping, that is for sure.

It was a very relaxing weekend, good food, good fellowship, and a nice break for all of us.
