    Chattooga River Trail Access

I am planning a thru-hike of the CRT over Labor Day Weekend. I am with some people who have never once gone backpacking (car campers). We have already been to Ellicott Rock, so my plan was to start at Burrell's Ford and head south to US-76. My question is are there other places besides Burrell's Ford and US-78 where we could exit the trail? I am not sure if these guys are up for a 12 mile per day pace, and I was just wondering if it would be possible to exit at Earl's Ford or Sandy Ford if our pace was too slow and we run out of time? We plan to take our time and take the spurs to waterfalls, so I would like an early exit option.
"The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
    Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

You could park a car at HWY 28. It's about 12.8 miles from Burrell's Ford. You can also park at Earl's Ford and Sandy Ford.
