    Full suspension with Polypro Webbing?

So I'm assembling a hammock for the first time and I'm at the suspension step (http://www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeHammock3.html) and I only have polypro webbing. Everywhere I look they only show cording for the 1-2ft section that directly attaches to the hammock ends (then the Polypro suspension attaches to that).

Can I just use webbing for this part? If so, How?

If you look at Option 2 of the referenced web page, the author states that he made a loop in the end of the webbing and used a larks head to attach it to the end of the hammock. The question is, how do you adjust the length of the webbing? The author shows you one way. Another way would be to use an OnRope1 type of cinch buckle or decender rings to give you adjustment. JRB triglides come to mind also.

I believe I figure'd it out. I double up my Polypro webbing about tie this knot, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJlEQpcbM1I

then run the doubled webbing to the tree or attachment point and secure it using this method http://www.imrisk.com/hammock/speerknot.htm.

I refuse to spend anymore on this project. . $30 bucks for a macgyver set up is plenty... considering an Eagle Nest is $50...

most people started out with just webbing. I am only just switching to whoopies+ straps for a bit of 'adjustability'.
    http://www.imrisk.com/hammock/improvedknot.htm
and http://www.imrisk.com/testhammock/testhammock.htm (and scroll down on the http://www.imrisk.com/ for a picture of how to attach to a whipped hammock)

So yeah, nothing wrong with just webbing! (besides the fiddle factor and sometimes, the weight.)
my hammock gear weights total: 2430g (~86oz)
    Winter: total 2521 (~89oz)
(see my profile for detailed weights)

    gram counter, not gram weenie!

I like the whoopies but love the webbing/buckle suspension standard on the blackbirds. it's just so easy to wrap the end around the tree with a biner and pull to adjust.
