Fairfield Lake State park has a three mile hiking trail that leads to primitive campsites. There is water and bathroom available near the primitive campsites also. You can get more info here "http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/fairfield_lake/".

Perdernales and Inks lake has great primitive spots for hammocks. I go there often. Also heading out to the Lone star trail is always an option.

I have been camping in texas for years and have seen a lot of places that are good for hammocking thanks for the confirmation and advice I welcome hearing about any more experiences and gems. Mostly I was looking for something like what's going down next month. Don't know if ill make it this time but I'm interested in meeting some other hammockers and camp gear heads like me.
